Self-Harming
Many young adults today are using self-harming to cope with how they are feeling. I have worked with young adults who self-harm. I have helped them to develop a strength within themselves. It is easy to get overwhelmed in a pattern of negative thoughts. I work with students and help them break those cycles.
When stressed and anxious negative thoughts can increase. Through hypnotherapy I have been able to help young adults identify their strengths and abilities. I help them to learn resilience skills and how to manage their stress. They learn to focus on what they are good at and develop a strong sense of self. They become able to detach from their negative thoughts and learn to tackle their urges to self-harm.
